This DEVO Whip It POP! vinyl commemorates the new wave band, DEVO and their 1980 song and accompanying video, “Whip It,” (a hit track from their Freedom of Choice album) which was in very heavy rotation on MTV at the dawn of the New Wave movement. In the video, Gerald Casale sings lead vocals and plays keyboards, while the bespectacled Mark Mothersbaugh sings accompanying lead (call and response) while cracking a whip. This POP! vinyl figure seems to be a composite of the two singer-songwriters. Move ahead. Try to detect it. It's not too late to get this Whip It. Good.
